Aftermarket Battery Terminal Covers (VGate or Moroso)

My stock battery terminals looked like some electrical descendant of Medusa - between the relays for my HID projectors, my ARB compressor, Auxbeam power wire, and my radio power feed, they were a mess. The Moroso 74098 battery terminals (found here!) are an excellent made-in-USA option that is affordable & offers plenty of connection options. However, there wasn't any terminal covers for them, which is asking for an unintentional DIY-arc-welding accident to happen when you're working in the engine bay.

That's why I designed these terminal covers - they're printed out of flexible, heat resistant & chemical resistant thermoplastic polyurethane, which is perfect for under-the-hood applications! It wraps around the exposed metal on the fusible link assembly as well (both for the 98-02 and 03-07s. The fusible link assembly is different between those two, hence the different options), offering complete protection from accidental shorts across the top of the terminals while leaving nearly every lug accessible - the front top lug is covered, but if you need that one you can easily trim the terminal cover with some side-cutters to expose it. The material is flexible enough that when retained by a ziptie around the backside of the cover (as shown in the picture) you can still easily 'open' the terminal cover to access the terminal itself.


Shortly after completing the design for the Moroso terminals, someone reached out & asked about the A12 VGate battery terminals (found here). These battery terminals offer an incredible amount of connection & configuration options, so to maintain maximum coverage I designed a set of terminal covers that by default cover the entire terminal, but have pre-engineered spots to trim at to expose whatever lug that you need to. Similar to my design for the Moroso battery terminals, these covers are designed to be retained by a ziptied & then can 'flip up' whenever you need to access the battery terminals.
