NIGHTHAWK 100 Series Landcruiser/LX470 Chase Light & Wolfbox Camera Mount | 1998-2007

Whether you're navigating dusty trails with a group of friends or just want a better rearview camera mount if you have a gear-packed cargo area, the Lumberjack Engineering Nighthawk Chase Light Housing delivers!

This unit is a drop-in replacement for the 3rd brake light in either the body (for spoiler-less trucks) or (coming soon!) the whale-tail spoiler that was mounted on later 100 Series.

Pod Light Support for all performance & budgets:

I designed this chase light housing to be as versatile as your truck is! Select the type of lights you're going use, and we'll include custom-engineered internal brackets that will allow you to mount your specific pod lights to the main housing:

• Baja Designs S2 Pods: The ultimate in power output & high-quality optics in this size - the Baja S2 Pro or Sport series are USA-made lights that punch well above their size. I recommend the 'wide cornering' lens option for this application. (Available here, sold as a pair). • AKD Pods: Need something a little more budget-friendly than the Baja S2s? The AKD-style 3-inch pod lights found on Amazon (Available here, sold as a pair) are still a great option that'll serve most people's needs just fine. 

Where Premium Materials meet Exquisite Engineering:

• For the Spoiler-less trucks: A robust design featuring a main rear mounting plate that everything mounts to & seals to the hatch, combined with a front housing to handle the aesthetics and make sure everything flows together! The rear main mounting plate locks down into the opening for the 3rd brake light, and the front housing attaches to this mounting plate.

• Carbon-Fiber Reinforced ASA: Built for the harshest environments. This housing is printed in Atomic Filament's Carbon-Fiber ASA (made up in Northern Indiana!), providing maximum UV resistance and durability that won't warp or sag under the desert sun. 

• Complete Hardware Kit: All new stainless steel hardware is provided for installation! No worries about rust here. 

Choose Your Camera mount Option:

All variants include a center-mounted, high-output brake light to retain 3rd brake light functionality - in addition:

• Wolfbox Camera Mount: Centers your Wolfbox digital camera (the versions that look like this one - not the older, very-square version) for a crystal-clear, elevated view.

• No Camera Mount: Don't need to mount a Wolfbox camera? No worries! These feature a modified housing that removes the mounting features, keeping the sleek, flowing look.

A Note on Weatherproofing & Fastener choice

• For the non-spoiler version:

  • There was a ton of effort that went into making sure the watertight integrity of the rear hatch was preserved! The non-spoiler Nighthawk variant uses a main backing/mounting plate that seals to the rear hatch via foam gasket tape (included in the kit), and then all penetrations for the wires (2x pod lights, brake light, Wolfbox camera) through this main rear plate are sealed via grommets. This results in a solution that should have the same sealing properties as the factory brake light! If you wanted to be extra super sure you could through some silicone around the top edge of the main mounting plate (it'd get covered with the main front housing & hidden), but that hasn't been necessary at all in our testing.

• For the spoiler version:

  • It is important to note that the factory spoiler light does not make a waterproof seal to the spoiler (seriously - check it out when you pull it out!). The OEM spoiler is designed with internal drainage channels that allow water to flow through the spoiler and exit via dedicated drain holes, preventing moisture from ever entering the vehicle’s body. The Lumberjack Engineering Nighthawk - Spoiler Variant follows this exact design philosophy. It is engineered to perform just like the OEM light in this regard, allowing for natural drainage.

• Installation: Direct bolt-in replacement for the factory light. Running wiring into the existing hatch harness/up to your switch panel/etc is required.
